Rebirthing Breathwork
A deeper way of working with the breath, supporting awareness, emotional processing and connection to self.
Rebirthing Breathwork offers a more immersive way of working with the breath.
Where some breathwork practices focus on regulation or functional breathing patterns, this approach creates space to explore what sits beneath the surface — emotionally, physically and relationally.
It’s not about controlling the breath or achieving a particular state.
It’s about allowing something to unfold, in a way that feels supported and safe.
What is rebirthing breathwork?
Rebirthing Breathwork is a conscious, connected breathing practice.
It uses a continuous, circular breath pattern, removing the pause between the inhale and exhale, which can shift the body out of familiar patterns and into a more open and aware state. In this space, the breath becomes a way of bringing attention inward.
Rebirthing is a simple and gentle, yet powerful way to bring into awareness not only unconsciously held beliefs and emotions, but also the relationships we have with our bodies, ourselves, and the people around us.
Rather than analysing or talking through experiences, the process allows them to be felt, noticed and, over time, understood in a different way.
There is no fixed outcome. The work is led by your system and what it is ready to meet.
How can rebirthing support?
People often come to this work when something feels held, but not easily accessed through thinking or talking alone. This might be a sense of tension in the body, emotions that feel difficult to reach or express, or patterns that continue to repeat without clear understanding.
Rebirthing Breathwork can support:
a deeper awareness of internal states, both physical and emotional
the release of tension that has been held over time
a shift in how you relate to thoughts, feelings and reactions
increased capacity to stay with emotion without becoming overwhelmed
insight into patterns, beliefs and relational dynamics
For some, this work brings moments of clarity or release. For others, it is a gradual softening, or a sense of something beginning to move where it previously felt stuck. The changes are often subtle, but meaningful.
What to expect from a session
Sessions are held in a steady, supported and collaborative way.
We begin with a conversation to understand how you are arriving that day, what feels present, and what might need to be held in mind as we move into the breathwork.
From there, you’ll be guided into a connected breathing pattern, with ongoing support throughout. The pace is responsive to you — nothing is forced or pushed.
Experiences can vary, but may include:
physical sensations such as warmth, tingling, movement or release
emotional responses, from calm and stillness to more active expression
memories, imagery or a shift in awareness
a sense of quiet or deeper presence
There is no expectation of what should happen and every session will be different. You remain in control throughout, and the work is adapted in response to what feels manageable and appropriate for you.
Each session includes time to come back, allowing space for integration, to reflect, settle and make sense of anything that has arisen.
Sessions are offered both online and in person, and can be held effectively in either setting. When working online, care is taken to create a contained and supportive space so you can feel safe and connected throughout the process.
If you’re curious about Rebirthing Breathwork and whether it might be supportive for you, you’re welcome to register your interest.
This allows space for an initial conversation and to ensure this approach feels right for you at this time.
Who is it for
This work may be supportive if you feel drawn to exploring your internal experience in a more embodied way.
You might recognise:
a sense that something is held beneath the surface
difficulty accessing or expressing emotion
patterns that feel hard to shift through thinking alone
a desire to feel more connected to your body
curiosity about a deeper therapeutic process
It can also be helpful for those who are already in therapy and want to complement that work with a more experiential approach.
At the same time, this way of working is not always appropriate for everyone, at every stage.
An initial conversation helps to ensure that it feels safe and suitable for you.
Meet the Practitioner
Hi, I’m Hayley Hildred
I am a trained therapeutic breathwork practitioner and counsellor. My work is grounded in supporting people to understand themselves in a way that feels steady, safe and sustainable.
My approach brings together talking therapy, somatic awareness, and breathwork — recognising that not everything we carry can be accessed through words alone.
I am currently training as a Rebirthing Breathworker with the AIR School of Breathwork. This training builds on and complements my existing work, offering a deeper, more experiential way of working with the breath when it feels appropriate.
I hold this work with a focus on pacing, safety and integration. Rather than working toward intensity or release, the intention is to support a process that feels contained, responsive, and led by you.
