Support Group

New in Private Practice

Starting out in private practice can feel exciting, daunting and, at times, surprisingly lonely.

One minute you're qualifying, the next you're navigating websites, directories, social media, client enquiries, insurance, finances and all the other things that come with running a practice.

This monthly online support group is a space for newly qualified counsellors and those in the early stages of private practice to connect with others on a similar journey.

A place to:
• Share wins and challenges
• Exchange ideas and learning
• Ask questions
• Gain encouragement and perspective
• Build connections with fellow practitioners

Alongside the monthly sessions, there will also be a WhatsApp community where members can continue conversations, share resources, ask questions and support one another between meetings.

There’s no expectation to have it all figured out so whether you're seeing your first client or finding your feet in year one, you're welcome to join.

Because building a practice is easier when you don't do it alone.

📅 First session: Tuesday 14th July
🕕 6:00pm - 7:30pm
💻 Google Meet
👥 Group size - up to 12 people

A Note From Me

The idea for this group comes from a very personal place.

Like many newly qualified counsellors, I'm navigating the realities of building a private practice myself. Whilst I have experience in business, leadership and facilitation, I don't come to this group with all the answers or any special insight into how to "do it right".

I'm creating this space because I believe there is real value in learning alongside one another, sharing experiences honestly, and having somewhere to talk about the challenges as well as celebrate the wins.

My role is to facilitate the conversation, hold the space, and contribute where I can. But I'm also here as a fellow practitioner, learning, growing and figuring things out alongside you.

My hope is that this becomes a supportive community where we can be open about the realities of private practice and remind one another that we don't have to do it alone.

A Few Things to Know

• The group is free to attend.
• Places are limited, so if your plans change, please let me know so that someone else can take your place.
• The group works best when everyone feels able to contribute respectfully and maintain confidentiality.
• Whilst the group offers support, connection and shared learning, it is not a replacement for supervision or personal therapy.
